When to recommend regular home blood pressure monitoring

2015 Canadian Hypertension Education Program (CHEP) Guidelines state that regular home blood pressure monitoring (HBPM) should be recommended, especially for patients with hypertension and with the following conditions1:

Diabetes mellitus
Chronic kidney disease (CKD)
Suspected non-adherence
Demonstrated white coat effect
Masked hypertension
